My mom celebrate her birthday last week and we decided to have lunch at Heaven and Eggs in Glorietta 4. Since me and my mom are looking for ‘healthy’ dishes, we settled for the following:

We were really enjoying our orders until I noticed something crawling on my plate. Instead of just Parmesan cheese, some flesh to brown-colored multilegged crawlers came with it from the shaker!!! Imagine the horror!

So I called the attention of the server and showed them what ‘discovery’ I made out of the shaker. So she took my dish without apologizing and returned with a new, sparkling white plate. Cool!

But here’s the thing. We were almost done with both our orders until we noticed that they did not replace the spoiled food which they took earlier from my plate. If not for my request from the manager, they could have gone away with it and we did not get our money’s worth.

Another observation. They did not bother pulling out ALL the shakers from the tables of the resto, which by the way was almost full because it was almost lunch time AND they took another shaker from a cabinet. Of note, that’s where they took the shaker (with insects) from.

Well, the staff were not really apologetic with what happened. Maybe that’s something ‘normal’ or it happens all the time probably?

My verdict: NOT TO EAT IN THIS RESTO AGAIN. NEVER!
